Fuzzy, Gray Zone

Ever caught between two worlds? The old exits stage right yet the new world is not quite online.

Nature always shows us a better way.

Most people only see dragonflies buzzing around on hot, humid days scooping up their delicious mosquitoes for lunch.  What we rarely see is the process that dragonflies go through to get their wings.

Dragonflies spends most of their life underwater. From eggs being laid in or near water on plant tissue, they gestate for one to five weeks. The next several months to even five years, they live as nymphs under water. They grow by molting its exoskeleton 10 to 15 times before receiving their wings.

  • How many times have you reinvented yourself?
  • How many layers of - what’s not truly you - have you shed?

Once fully grown, the nymph crawls out of the water onto vegetation.

This is where your in-between worlds. You no longer live in the sea of emotions. You’ve hit land and finally feel the fullness of breath again.

The dragonflies’ exoskeleton breaks open one more time pushing a substance called hemolymph through. This allows its wings to take shape and expand. But, it can still not fly. The dragonfly pauses and rests. The body takes shape and hardens into place.

The pause.

The rest and recovery.

The stillness.

Most humans do not even know this concept exists. The constant busyness filling every hour with something to do. A movie. A music concert. Family activities. A sporting event. And, of course work!

Yet, it’s in the stillness that we receive.

We receive our wings yet don’t know how to fly.

The stillness allows us to receive the critical pieces of information from a higher guidance source.

Emergence begins. The old version of you no longer exists. The form that carried you here cannot be carried forward.

A new identity morphs though. This emergence is where you fly with new wings fully intact.

  • What self-imposed restrictions will you release?
  • What new instructions or direction are you ready to receive?
  • What new identity are you ready to showcase?

This emergence exposes your radiant essence – who you are when no one is watching.

Most people fear exposure as if were somehow all perfect. Imagine if the exposure showcases your brilliance and amazingness. This is a game changer.

This week, find stillness and receive your new GPS coordinates on where to fly.

Wishing you a wonderful, joyful, and prosperous day!
