Ever accidentally come upon a bird’s nest in a completely obscure place? This weekend, a group of friends set out to sail on on a mutual friend’s boat. As we took off the sail covers and prepared the sails, we noticed a bird’s nest tucked in between. As we gently pulled the nest out, wondering how long it had been there, three small chicks came into sight. As we watched carefully, time suddenly stopped. Then, the inside of each chick started to slowly move. The young birds were quite lively.
When we consider our own nest, how do we prepare for significant growth and potentially being pushed out of the nest?
Is our foundation and environment safe and secure?
Nests symbolize our container to stay nourished and nurtured.
As we prepare for the growth of the summer season, how do we honor our own emotions without letting them turn into angst, anxiety, and ADHD symptoms? A nourished and nurtured nest gives us the footing to take the leap into expansive new horizons.
New beginnings are ready to come forth.
As our sailing crew came back into port and tied the sails up, the mother came looking for the nest. We gently tucked the nest back into the sails and shade so the mother could continue to nourish its young.
