We determine one thing and one thing only. No one determines it but us.
We have the freedom to how we feel about anything. This is where true power lies. No matter what is going on around you, choosing inner peace is real freedom.
The way water washes off the feathers of a bird, we all have the ability to simply acknowledge and accept situations yet not let them affect our inner core, our inner radiance, our inner peace.
Your presence dictates everything.
This presence of feeling the emotion and letting it go immediately liberates us instead of weighing us down with guilt, burden, and remorse. When we keep our calm in the face of adversity, our inner calm remains unshakeable.
Amid a crisis, do you want to show up as a leader who rages out at an employee or calmly redirects and helps them learn?
If a hurricane is barreling down in your area, do you want to calmly assess what’s important to take care of or be hysterical?
If you suddenly find yourself and others in a dangerous part of town due to an Uber driver, do you want to react to a fight or flight or gently assess how to redirect the situation?
Freedom to choose how we feel about anything is where true power lies. This is what liberates us.
What you decide to choose affects everything around you. How do you choose to feel today? In the same way, that a single fire sets off a firework, we can also ignite a better attitude in our approach to life.
