Is something new ready to be brought forth? Regardless of the cold, dark days, something deep within is stirring.
Imagine a volcano. Most never erupt. Walking along the surface, it's quiet from above. Yet deep in the earth's mantle is hot magma moving and flowing beneath the surface. There's an internal force that's ready to emerge and surface to create new ground.
Volcanoes can explode, hurling hot lava hundreds of feet, or slowly emit magma through cracks in the volcano. No one wants to be on the other side of an explosive discharge. Yet a slow emittance brings curiosity and an opportunity to direct the magma's movement.
Too often, we let others determine our movements and our flow. When our internal center is ill-defined, anyone's suggestion, advice, or even an offer brings about fun and excitement. Who doesn’t love that? Yet, that's when magma spreads everywhere, not leaving a direct path forward. When direction is ill-defined, any path will get you there. Which also keeps you nowhere at the same time.
Define what's ready to emerge. When we contain and protect what's important, we direct where it flows.
