Ever think the show Naked and Afraid is your worst nightmare?
John and Sarah flew to Baja, Mexico, for a much-needed vacation. Excited for traveling up the coast of the Pacific Ocean to a remote town 2 hours away from the highly touristy area of Cabo San Lucas. As they left the busy airport area and passed the overly developed coastline, the road opened up in sheer beauty. Beautiful blue water on one side and dry desert with no buildings on the other.
A little slice of heaven. No people. Few cars. The fresh ocean air tickles their skin.
John, with a sneaky grin, looked at Sarah - Let's pull over and jump in the water.
Sarah, with a devilish smile, eager to create memories, said, Absolutely!
Opening the trunk, they grabbed a beach towel and then walked through the heavy, hot sand.
The warm, salty water smoothed away the ills from an airline seat and all day travel.
John, with another grin, stripped naked. Why not? No one's around. Sarah followed.
As they walked deeper and deeper into the water, not knowing how romantic this may get. John gently nudged Sarah closer to him. John is a formidable 6'4 man with muscles of steel, and an avid swimmer.
As they embraced each other's arms, the waves got bigger and rougher. Out of nowhere, John could no longer stand. As if Hercules came out of nowhere and body slammed him into the water. John lost Sarah's arms, and they both went tumbling head over heels, not knowing what direction to go. They both swam hard, yet not knowing which direction to go, the waves eventually spat them out.
Dazed and confused, with their hand stuck in their hair from bouncing in the water. They looked at each other square in the eye. - Well, that wasn't very romantic ,and they started laughing. Time to get out of the water before another wave crashes at us.
Fully exposed - John and Sarah never knew these waves could break them apart, literally and figuratively.
