Ever get surprised when bitter reality slaps you across the face?
As fall turns into winter, nature reminds us of new directions ahead on our path forward. As the cold sets in, the wind slices across our cheeks. The trees crack and snap as the leaves are ripped away. The winter wind clears the last leaves as trees stand naked and raw. Simultaneously, the squirrels hide acorns among the fallen debris.
The debris reminds us that we are often blind to what's truly going on in our lives, relationships, and careers. Nature operates in cycles and rhythms.
What is it that you truly seek? What truly makes you satisfied and fulfilled on the inside?
As the wind whips across your face, the reality of your circumstances sets in. A mix of joy, excitement, yet also the pain we choose to ignore.
We always have the opportunity to set a new direction. Some clouds drift without any real formation. The cloud's boundaries are poorly defined. This leaves the cloud wandering aimlessly without a clear direction or definitive purpose. When boundaries are loose, it’s difficult to gain traction or move forward appropriately.
As nature cycles move into another season, what cycles are coming to a close for you?
If the wind can whisper a truth in your ear, what would it say to you this week? Be open to what's hidden underneath the debris.
