Has someone ever said something that made your blood boil inside? Or, maybe a situation that goes unresolved and the tension rises with each interaction?
The pressure builds. The pressure gets stronger and stronger.
A geyser does the same thing. Water underneath the land heats up to a boil. The pressure surmounts so much that the water erupts out of a small opening squirting a hundred feet into the sky. Those who’ve traveled to Yellowstone National Park have seen this with their own eyes.
The same can occur in our daily lives. Situations become so tense that they erupt. Whether it's anger spewed at another or words we can’t take back, this can wreck our relationships. If the tension builds inside and never gets voiced, our health and internal structure may collapse and become diseased.
The funny thing is hot water can also be extremely soothing. Hot springs bring the same warm water into natural pools that ease our tension. When we give ourselves permission to pause, the tension immediately dissolves and restores are own balance and equilibrium.
From this place of restoration, we turn our
Wounds into Wisdom
Pain into Purpose
Intensity into Integration
Instead of agitation, frustration, and our blood boiling, we integrate. This creates space for new insights to come forward. The pressure turns into power to resolve anything left undone. Instead of operating from haste and reaction, we operate from calm resolve.
Navigating our emotions with ease and grace is the most powerful state we can operate in. From here, we are guided without having to force anything. And, that makes life easier and smoother. Who doesn’t want that?
