Imagine if a pine tree said to the next pine tree 30 feet away. “Don’t spread your roots my way. This soil is all mine!” This is cruel and controlling. This even sounds a bit silly, right? Can you really prevent what way the tree roots grow?
The ground has ample nutrients to supply to all plants, trees, flowers, bushes, etc that grow in the respective area. One tree cannot control what another tree does.
Now apply this same principle to humans. Imagine how a human can be cruel to another human and perceive they can control another human being. Don’t touch my stuff! Don’t help me move, I can do this all on my own. This project is mine and I’ll do everything to see that it happens! This is all perception of who’s in control by stating their role to make it happen. Yet, these people are often overloaded, exhausted, drained, and probably a bit angry.
Yet, there’s one more area to consider. How do you talk to yourself?
I’m stupid.
I can’t believe I fell for that again.
I’ll never make it.
Why does this always happen to me?
Self-talk can be the biggest, cruelest thing that occurs and we do it to ourselves.
Instead, imagine if we become the biggest cheerleader.
You can do it.
There’s an opportunity around every corner.
Each gets better and better.
My wealth rises every day.
My health and fitness improve each day computing into millions.
How does over-protecting yourself and attempting to control what others do — affect and affect you?
Move out of cruelty, away from over-analytical critical thinking, and into compassion for ourselves and others. From a place of love for all, we can create amazing relationships and truly make miracles happen.
Come from the heart of compassion and remove the overthinking mind. This is how we intertwine our roots and help each other grow.
